New law in China – now they are allowed to have 2 children

As reported by the agency "Xinhua" on Thursday 29 of October China ends “one – child policy”, allowing families have two children.
According to the agency every family in China can have 2 children.
Demographical “one – child” policy was accepted in China in 1970s. It touches the most of the Chinese families with the exception of the inhabitants of individual regions and representatives of certain ethnic groups.
Adopting “one-child” policy, China is forced by law to limit family size, since large population overload it land, water and energy resources. During the course of this policy the average number of children born per woman in China has decreased from 5.8 to 1.8.
Restrictions do not apply to cases of multiple pregnancies. It is also allowed to have two children per family in the village, if the first child was a girl. Furthermore, the use policy was depended on province. For example, residents of the capital were allowed to have two children if one of the parents was an only child.

As on 2015, China is still the leader among all the countries in the world in terms of population. The country is home to one billion 368.66 million people. The population density in China is 139.6 people per square kilometer.

  1. This was really hard for me to understand. The law restricts families from having more kids but one only. This is so unhuman to my mind. I know it's all connected with the demographic issue of the country. But I would't want to live there just because of this written rule. That's why I'm so happy the situation has changed for the Chinese people. Good news.

  2. Quite a nice thing for them to improve. I currently work from home full-time & part-time. I was originally born in France but spent 10 years of my life in the UK. I spend a lot of my time online (too much) & am actively involved in other forum community’s where I have met many nice people. I met my partner online due to his business interests although I later found out that was his intentions anyway. We've always wanted our own kids. Here I'll specify we both wanted them to be genetically related, so the question of using donor sperms or eggs has never been to our mind. Though God had his own plans for us. He wanted us to spend yrs trying then through 5 failed rounds ivf/icsi before putting us onto surrogacy path far away from home - in Ukraine, Biotexcom clinic. I found reproductive clinics’ directory on the web with their contact info and websites. Some websites provided service and price info, some didn’t, so I had to email them. The prices are different. Conditions are different, too. My advice on it: when considering surrogacy fees, ask your consultant if the price is final and what extra fees are, if any? Also, consider the number of attempts they provide. It may be only one attempt (no matter own or donor eggs), several attempts or endless number of attempts. Also ask if medications are covered by your contract. What I’ve noticed, is that some clinics assign lower price, but then it will be doubled with costs of all medications needed!!

  3. World's changing. That was good news by all means. This is a true right for every couple to have more than one if they want. So probably this was not right for the country to influence this natural wish. Well, I'm just happy they can do it now. Of course IVF can work the first time. Some women achieve so, others don’t. It depends on a great number of factors. Assisted reproduction is not 100% effective, just as natural pregnancy: embryo implantation does not occur always. Each assisted reproduction technique counts on its own success rates. However, understanding IVF statistics can become a bit complicated. Since many aspects can be taken into account. Be it as it may, many women have achieved pregnancy the very first time. Others may need even three or fours attempts. The good news is that success rats of IVF are cumulative, that is, they increase with each attempt. Each case must be treated and analyzed individually. hope things have really got better for them up to this time.
